For nearly two decades, Anne Koplik Designs has had the incredible honor of being part of one of television’s most iconic shows: Dancing With the Stars. What began in Season 5 in 2007 has grown into an extraordinary partnership spanning 30 seasons as the show’s exclusive jewelry provider.
For our family-run jewelry company, being part of Dancing With the Stars has always been about so much more than the jewelry. It has been about the people, the creativity, the excitement, and the unforgettable experiences we’ve shared along the way.
Where It All Began
Our Dancing With the Stars journey began back in 2007, during Season 5, when Maria Osmond wore the first pair of Anne Koplik Designs earrings on the show. From that moment, our relationship with DWTS began to grow and what an incredible journey it has been.
We’ve had the opportunity to see our jewelry take the ballroom floor week after week, complementing everything from dramatic costumes and elegant ballroom gowns to fun, over-the-top performance looks. Watching our pieces sparkle under those ballroom lights has been a dream come true for our small, family-owned company.
But some of our favorite memories have happened behind the scenes.
From the Ballroom to Behind the Scenes
Over the years, we’ve had the amazing opportunity to visit the Dancing With the Stars set and experience the magic of the show firsthand. We’ve gotten to step inside the ballroom, meet the cast, and spend time with the incredible dancers, stars, and production team who make the show what it is.
For a small jewelry company based in upstate New York, those experiences have been truly surreal.
We’ve met so many incredible people throughout the years… from celebrities taking on the challenge of learning to dance to professional dancers who somehow make the impossible look effortless. We’ve watched friendships form, celebrated memorable performances, and experienced the excitement of seeing our jewelry become part of some of the show’s biggest moments.
And yes, we’ve taken a lot of pictures along the way!
A Special Place in Our Hearts: The Costume Department
One of the most meaningful parts of our DWTS partnership has been our relationship with the show’s incredible costume department, whom we’ve had the pleasure of working with for more than 15 years.
The costume team is responsible for creating so much of the visual magic we see on screen, and we are constantly amazed by their creativity, talent, and attention to detail. Getting to work alongside them and help find the perfect jewelry to complete each look has been such a special part of our journey.
We love seeing how they take a costume from a sketch and an idea to something that comes alive on the ballroom floor and we’re honored that our jewelry gets to be one of the finishing touches.
There is something incredibly exciting about seeing a piece leave our studio, make its way to the DWTS costume department, and eventually appear on television under those famous ballroom lights.
A Partnership Built on People
After 30 seasons, it’s easy to look at the number and think about the longevity of the partnership. But when we think about Dancing With the Stars, we think about people.
We think about the costume department members who have become familiar faces over the years. We think about the dancers and celebrities we’ve had the opportunity to meet. We think about the countless conversations, backstage visits, fittings, performances, and memories that have made this partnership so special.
And we think about how lucky we are that a small, women-owned, family-run jewelry company from upstate New York has been able to play a small part in such a beloved television tradition.
30 Seasons Later…
From that very first pair of earrings in Season 5 to 30 seasons of providing the exclusive jewelry for the show, our Dancing With the Stars story has become a huge part of the Anne Koplik Designs story.
It’s a partnership that has allowed us to showcase our handcrafted jewelry to millions of viewers while giving us experiences we never could have imagined when Anne Koplik Designs was founded.
As we get ready for another season, we can’t help but feel a little nostalgic looking back at where it all began and incredibly excited about what’s still to come.
30 seasons. Countless pieces of jewelry. More memories than we can count. And a whole lot of sparkle. ✨
