#TBT to where it all began….Glass Works Studio, Ltd.

The Glass Works Studio, Ltd. was incorporated in 1983. This is when my mom, Anne, started designing jewelry on our kitchen table in Rockville Centre, NY. She always loved beautiful things and was passionate about surrounding herself with magnificent art. So, it was no surprise to me when she combined a colorful and unique assortment of beads to make a necklace, but mostly to create a wonderful work of art…just like this one, using old beads and new, some and some that a person hand blew.

Believe it or not, Anne continues to design using the same inspirations as well as many of the same components she started with…so many years ago. Colorful and unique beads from Czechoslovakia, Japan and China, as well as handmade enamels and hand stamped findings. Her work, from the beginning, created to be enjoyed from year to year, and generation to generation, with her hope that each one of her designs would make a woman feel beautiful, and always be a conversation piece!

My mom is Anne Koplik, and that makes me the luckiest girl in the world!

Your Treat!

I have a lovely necklace with brass or bronze toned chain that has a single flower pendent. It has a heart near the clasp that reads glass works studio. It is absolutely lovely!

My sister LOVED the fairy jewelry made by Glass Works Studio. She died about 10 years ago. I have her jewelry. It’s still gorgeous, colorful, whimsical. What is the best way to clean it?

I treasure my beautiful Glassworks jewelry that I purchased over a few years in in the 80’s. I am so fortunate to own five necklaces and one bracelet.
As a child I was fascinated with my grandmother’s scarab bracelet, so I’m guessing that is my attraction to your mom’s beautiful creations.

My late husband purchased two of your Mother’s necklaces for me many years ago while we were spending a weekend in Vermont. If I remember correctly, it was a shop in Woodstock, VT. I loved both necklaces as soon as I saw them on the display rack. I love them so much but more so it was something my late husband purchased for me. Thank you for these loving memories.

I purchased a beautiful, long necklace and a pair of matching earrings at an estate sale in Tyler, Texas. The necklace has the Glass Works tag on it. It is a necklace full of hearts in the brass tones and glass. The glass hearts are mostly shades of blue and green. It is beautiful! I am so happy with my estate sale find! Tell your Mom thank you for making it!
